National Health Mission Rajasthan invites the candidates who are willing and enthusiastic to serve the community by bringing health care services to the doorsteps of the community to apply for the 6-Months Bridge Program (Certificate) in Community Health. This Course is part of an initiative under the National Health Mission to strengthen Sub- Centers as Health & Wellness Centers (H&WCs) for improved implementation of public health programmes and to enable comprehensive primary health care service delivery, including disease prevention and health promotion. Candidates who successfully complete this course will be posted at these Sub Centers as Community Health Officers (CHOs) to lead a primary health care team consisting of frontline workers such as the female health workers (ANMs), male health worker (MPW), and ASHAs. The Bridge Program will be implemented through the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

The regular & contractual employees of the State Health Department/National Health Mission will have to obtain No Objection Certificate from their respective Department and will have to resign from their current post after successful completion of the course i.e. after qualifying/passing the 6-Months Bridge Program (Certificate) in Community Health.

Age Limit -       Less than 35 years of age; however, less than 40 years for the SCs of the State as on 01.01.2019.


Pay Scale -       National Health Mission Punjab shall provide support for IGNOU fees; transport for practicum, and other training related costs. Apart from this, regular/contractual employees of State Health Department will continue to receive their salary/compensation during the training period and after completion of the course and passing the exam, they will be appointed on contract basis on the post of Community Health Officer. Fresh candidates will be given stipend @ Rs. 5000/- per month during the course period. 
After successful completion of the course, the successful candidates will be posted at the identified Sub–Centres /Primary Health Centres as Community Health Officers and will receive additional increment or higher remuneration for working as Community Health Officers


Qualifications - 

Eligibility and Qualification Criteria for 6-Months Bridge Program (Certificate) in Community Health. 
1. B.Sc in Nursing from a recognized Institute/University. Registered with Punjab Nursing Registration Council. 
                                                            Or 
2. BAMS from recognized University or Statutory State Board and Enrolment on State Register or Central Register of Ayurveda.

Application Fees -    Rs. 590/- to be paid by candidate for online admission application form through Bank Challan of OBC Bank for fee.



Method of Selection-    Written test of 100 Marks shall be conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and Merit List shall be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in the written test


Minimum Passing Marks:- 

i. The minimum passing marks shall be 35% for all categories (reserved and unreserved categories) in written test i.e. 35 Marks out of 100. 

ii. 3 times the number of candidates of actual vacancies in each category shall be called for the Counseling
