NIV is a permanent Institute of Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi under Dept. of
Health Research and also WHO recognized research lab for different viruses. NIV requires
temporary manpower on project mode for different projects at its Pune lab as well as its units at
Allepy (Kerala), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Gorakhpur (UP). In order to provide continuous
manpower to the projects that are approved from different dates each year and to avoid delay in
recruitment process, this Institute has decided to conduct tests and interviews for all such different
posts that may be required during a year. A panel will be prepared annually to support different
projects of NIV, Pune and its units.
Applications are invited online for the following positions under different Non-Institutional ad-hoc
projects to be filled purely on temporary basis at NIV/MCC, Pune & NIV Units at
Gorakhpur/Kerala/Bangalore units, renewable annually. Panel of recommended candidates shall
be shortlisted and they will be engaged in the present and future vacancies of projects as per
requirement from time to time.

1. Age relaxation against vacancies earmarked for reserved candidates will be as per Govt. of
India norms. No relaxation against UR vacancies.
2. Qualification & experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an Institution of
repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential
qualification.
3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department /
Organizations are not eligible to apply.
6. Consolidated salary of the post may vary from time to time
7. Separate application should be submitted for each post/ reservation.
8. No TA DA will be paid and candidate may have to arrange transport/accommodation
themselves.
